Racing car aerodynamics: Large-scale source term modelling of vortex generation

For efficiency/affordability, the wind tunnel testing is expensive and comprehensive testing is impractical. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is useful while adapting grids are difficult and time consuming. In this case we do not mesh the vortex generating device but model its effects via source terms (body forces) as an easy optimisation.
