Aeroacoustics of obstructions in turbulent boundary layers

Last updated on April 6, 2022

The aerodynamic noise generated by a two-dimensional large obstacle in a turbulent boundary layer. The obstacles have different shape and height emerged in the turbulent boundary layer of the flat plate. The spectra of turbulence and sound in a wide velocity range of 20-50m/s was tested. Scaling laws of the turbulence and acoustic results are conducted, and the noise generation mechanisms are analysed.
