Rotor noise prediction methods

A rotor noise prediction method based on the Hanson model was developed to compute the tonal noise of rotors. The effects of unsteady modes on the noise radiation are considered. Also, the broadband noise is computed using the empirical models of trailing edge noise. The rotation effects are accounted for in the prediction models. The aerodynamic variables are estimated using a cost-effective blade element and moment theory solver. The prediction results match well with the experiments.
