Dr. Wangqiao Chen received his bachelor and doctor's degree from the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, at Peking University (China) in 2016 and 2021. His research focuses on the understanding of aeroacoustics of fluids and engines. He has systematically examined different factors affecting the propeller trailing edge noise and proposed corresponding experimental methods which can significantly improve the interpretation of physical processes. He also investigates the super-resolution acoustic imaging method, which helps identify low-frequency sources through acoustic analogy-based tomography. In addition, the super-resolution imaging method is the first time to break through the resolution limitation of low-frequency noise source imaging and is expected to be applied to the actual industrial demand. The corresponding publication has been selected as the cover of the Journal of Fluid Mechanics.
